Bahamian youth sailors named to compete at ILCA 4 & ILCA 6 YOUTH WORLDS
The 2025 ILCA 4 & ILCA 6 Youth Worlds will be taking place at the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club (CBYC) in Los Angleles from July 19 to July 26, 2025 (ILCA 4) and July 28 to August 4, 2025 (ILCA 6). Both events are expected to draw hundreds of male and female participants from over 50 countries, making this a truly global celebration of youth sailing.

These championships, organized by the class governing body, the International Laser Class Association (ILCA), are critical in the development of young sailors aspiring to compete at the highest levels of the sport, including the 2028 LA Olympic Games. The ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 classes are renowned for fostering competitive sailing and providing a pathway to future Olympic participation.

To help prepare for the event, an ILCA training clinic will be held early in July with a number of visiting sailors from the Caribbean region with coaching provided by Niels Broekhuizen and Olympian Andrew Lewis from Trinidad & Tobego.
