Higgins making waves in sailing

May 28, 2024 - After falling just short of qualifying for the Paris Olympic Games in sailing, Harbour Island native Joshua Higgins is going full steam ahead with major plans for the next Olympic cycle.

That journey gets underway later this year, training and competing at various regattas in Europe. The 20-year-old aspiring Olympian said he is focused on what needs to be done to get to the next level of his sailing career. He is already a multi national champion across various classes and has represented the country at Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, the International Laser Class Association (ILCA) Radial Youth World Championships, the ILCA Under-21 World Championships and the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Sailing World Championships, just to name a few.
