BAHAMAS 420 Coaches and Sailors Clinic
i420 Clinic – Participation Criteria
This clinic is not for beginners and is intended for sailors who are already actively racing at a competitive level.
Priority will be given to sailors who:
• Meet the CAC Games age requirement (born 2011 or earlier)
• Are appropriately sized for the I420 (ideal team weight roughly 260–285 lbs)
We will also aim to encourage mixed teams, in line with CAC Games requirements.
Initial priority will go to the strongest available sailors who meet these criteria. If space allows, we may open participation to sailors slightly outside these parameters.
Final participation will be determined by the organizers/coaches.

Free ILCA clinic, 6-7 December 2025
Sail Better founded by 3-times Olympian sailor Andrew Lewis and multiple Dutch champion Niels Broekhuizen and current Program Director for Lyford Cay Sailing in The Bahamas, is hosting a free development clinic to develop youth laser sailors in The Bahamas. The free training has been made possible thanks to the fundraising efforts of the ILCA Bahamas team.
The 2-day clinic coincides with the ‘Best of the Best’ regatta in Nassau and the hope is that up-and-coming ILCA sailors from throughout the archipelago will be in Nassau and able to benefit from the opportunity.
For more information, please contact Niels Broekhuizen via WhatsApp 456-4750
